Jen & Jeff's Adventures

Costa Rica Was Awesome!!!

We were married in Costa Rica on August 9th, 2007. (Don't we look so cute.... Jen doesn't really believe that it's her....)

Fourteen of our near and dear friends and family joined us for this special day. The ceremony was held on the beach at 5pm. Although it rained both before and after 5pm, the ceremony was rain free and the post ceremony sunset was amazing (not only that... but our wedding gang got to see a sting ray as Jeff and I had our pics taken!)

Costa Rica was gorgeous!!! We went zip lining (a first for most of our guests - and a highlight of the trip!), horseback riding up to a waterfall, and took a dip in a mud bath and sulphur hot springs. We also went kayaking, snorkeling, and went on a river boat ride down the Tempisque river (it's a very important river in Costa Rica - used for irrigation and tourism!)

We also had the opportunity to explore our resort a bit. In the evening we searched the beach for phytoplankton and crabs. Every evening at least one (if not two or more) members of our group were pulled up on the stage for the resort shows. There are definitely some interesting pictures of all those involved!!! We also sang some karaoke on evening. It was a great night... even Brad, who had NEVER BEFORE SUNG KARAOKE joined in (with some light pressure from Jen...)

A few of our wedding pictures have been posted at www.dawseng.com by our photographer. Please note that some of his pictures were a bit cheesy, but most of them turned out well. We can't wait until the trash the dress session that will happen when we return home from Korea.

We'll post more pictures on one of the photo websites shortly. Bear with us, there were a LOT of pictures taken!

A Few Details - For those interested in hitting up Costa Rica in the future

Here are some links to the various people/places that will be involved in our wedding.

Our Resort: Premier Fiesta Resort - This was a much nicer resort than Jen anticipated. The people were friendly and it was HUGE! It is being converted into a Hilton in November, it will be interesting to see how this affects the staff and the resort itself.

Our Photographer: ProntoFoto - Juan was a great photographer. He ended up giving us a free website and small video diary option. We had someone from the resort film the actual ceremony for free....

Our Tourguide: Avispas Adventures - Amy and Jose were awesome tour guides. They did a great job of showing us around Costa Rica and making sure that we felt welcome and at home. They also accommodated a fairly large group despite different interests and needs. We would HIGHLY recommend them as a tour company to use if you are thinking about visiting Costa Rica
