We both love to work to better the world. Here are some links to the causes that we support!
GuluWalk - This is our baby. We organized the Kitchener-Waterloo GuluWalk. This year we are involved in the planning, but unfortunately we will miss the actual day!!! Boo!
Make Poverty History - We love to support organizations that work to help eliminate poverty, both at home and worldwide.
David Suzuki Foundation - We are both environmentalists and love to help save the environment.
Engineers Without Borders - Some of our friends are deeply committed to this organization. This link is to the EWB discussion board. There are some very interesting posts about international development and the role of the west in international development. Great food for thought! (Oh, and you don't need to be an engineer to be a member of EWB - Jen is a member, though not as active as she would like to be!)
Go Veg! - We are both vegetarians (though somewhat flexible...). Although PETA has some strong views/ideas about being vegan or vegetarian, they do support a meatless lifestyle which is something that we strive for. This website has some cool recipes and info about going vegetarian. Yum! Veggies!
CBC - Okay, so we're dorks and we both obsessively listen to the CBC radio! Any reference that Jeff makes to any information will most likely be preceded by the phrase "I heard this on the CBC...".
